Introducing Bryan Chiropractor Dr. Andre Gaulard
"Our family life was frequently disrupted by my mother's headaches" recalls Dr. Gaulard. "At age 7 I really didn't know very much. My sister told me my parents had gone to "choir practice". Now we lived across the road from the Catholic Church we attended and one thing I did know is that the church did not have a choir. So where were my parents. Obviously they were at the chiropractor."Even at a young age Dr. Gaulard was able to see the change in his mother. At age 12yrs. he decided to be a chiropractor and has never looked back. "My Dad also took me to the chiropractor and I could definitely see a difference myself. After some reading and discussion with Dr. Winter, our family chiropractor, the choice was obvious."
After an academically less than productive year in England Dr. Gaulard moved back to Australia and from Australia to Iowa and graduated with an award in clinical excellence from Palmer College of Chiropractic, Davenport, IA.
Our practice is dedicated to restoring health and wellness to people who want to be free of drugs and surgery. Through Chiropractic, Designed Clinical Nutrition and life style changes it is possible to restore your health.
"The whole family, to varying degrees, is on the wellness road" says Dr. Gaulard. He recalls an amusing event after a recent seminar. "The text books from the class were on the kitchen counter and my 16 year old walked in and looked at the text book and says, "Every time there is a new book there is less food in the house."" That's what we all need to do. Less Junk food and more nutrient dense foods.
Dr Gaulard is married with three children. Beth, his wife also works in the office. The oldest boy is Noel who is stationed in Germany with the US Army. Natasha is attending Eastern Michigan University and Austin will be graduating from Hilltop High school in 2008.
In the fall of 2005 Dr. Gaulard began to rededicate himself to the study of nutrition. As part of that study he began to much more diligently apply the healthy principles that he teaches. Sixty plus pounds later he is healthier than he has been in years. He completed the Standard Process purification program (lost 21lbs on that program alone). He works out at the "Blitz" in Bryan and uses a "Bowflex" at least 3x/wk. "The only exercise you will really do is what you enjoy" says Dr. Gaulard. "I like to ride bike and I ride 3-4x/wk at 15-20 miles. He eats the way he advises patients to eat. No processed foods, no fake fats and no sugar. The result is that his last treadmill was twice as good as the last one a year ago. Dr. Gaulard is adjusted approximately twice per month and is evaluated with NRT on a once per month schedule. He is on his own "Designed Clinical Nutrition Program."
"If you do what I ask you to do, to any degree, your health will improve," says Dr. Gaulard.
